Part 1; part 2 (in Swedish).

Now my geocities homepage is safe on my hard drive in good time before geocities closes down on October 26. When I think I have time, I'll start looking for another place to get it online. In the meantime, I'm thinking of doing something fun with the site in its geocities incarnation for the brief remainder of its existance, or rather for an even briefer period towards the end. But I'm not promising anything. For now, another (the last?) blog post with some little thing from the site that I find neat in some way. In this case, the entry on the Penguin in The Great Index of Villains. (Everything below is from there. Thinking about it now, I do think I can be kind of proud of that drawing, though very obviously not in a "I could be a professional artist so easily" kind of way. But perhaps if I had chosen to pursue it... Nah!)

Penguin, the (Swedish Pingvinen): A.k.a. Chesterfield Cobblepot, Oswald. One of Batman's oldest nemesises. I think he appeared before that irritating smiling guy. Well, he's got a thing for umbrellas. You can but love a guy like this.

Guess who drew this picture...I did! Maybe not something to be all that proud of, really.

Later in October, Geocities is closing. I'm not quite ready to give up on http://geocities.com/rawanimal.geo/ aka "Whoooaa... Hi, baby!" (link works at the moment but is of course destined to be dead pretty soon). In fact I'd be quite sad to see it go. Interestingly, there seems to be a decent chance it might get mirrored somewhere. Still, the mirroring-guy goes out and says back up your own site, motherfucker... so I guess this motherfucker will (especially as I want to still be able to update my own page, even though I may keep an archived "nostalgia" version somewhere). I've started today, but what I haven't done by now will have to wait until another day when I can spare some more time. What I really wanted, besides just getting started, was finding something that I can put up in an English language livejournal post more or less unmodified. These work (oh, and well, even though I like being cryptical, see Wikipedia on Geek code):
